Birria Tacos are the undisputed star of the El Taco Loco Downtown menu. Each order comes with three soft corn tortillas filled with slow-cooked shredded beef, melted cheese, chopped white onion, and fresh cilantro. They are accompanied by a warm, deeply flavoured consommé broth — the traditional Sinaloan dipping liquid that transforms every bite into something extraordinary.
The beef for our Birria is braised low and slow with a blend of dried chilies, spices, and aromatics rooted in Sinaloan tradition. The result is tender, juicy, and layered with flavour. This is not Tex-Mex — this is the real thing, made from a family recipe carried from Sinaloa, Mexico, to the heart of Downtown Edmonton.
